Doha, September 18 /QNA/ – The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bridgewater State University (BSU) in the United States, aimed at developing joint academic and educational cooperation, enhancing sustainable partnership, and leveraging the shared capabilities of both institutions for mutual benefit.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al-Hurr, President of CCQ, and Frederick W. Clark, President of Bridgewater State University.
Under the agreement, both sides will work towards achieving the goals outlined in the MoU, particularly in areas related to reviewing and launching new academic programs, collaborating on joint research projects, evaluating graduation projects, and organizing workshops in various academic fields of mutual interest.
On this occasion, Dr. Khalid Al-Hurr, President of CCQ, stated: "We value this collaboration with Bridgewater State University, a public higher education institution, which aims to promote sustainable development and enrich the academic and educational experience of CCQ students. This is achieved through the exchange of expertise and joint research projects that will build successful careers, in addition to benefiting from the joint workshops in multiple academic fields that will positively impact our students' capabilities and skills."
He added that the MoU with Bridgewater reflects CCQ's ongoing commitment to advancing knowledge and academic excellence for its students and enhancing their skills and abilities through collaboration with renowned local and international academic institutions. This aligns with the state's efforts towards sustainable human development and the growth of a knowledge-based economy through national expertise and talents.
Frederick W. Clark, President of Bridgewater State University, emphasized that the MoU reflects the university's commitment to expanding scientific and research collaboration and developing academic programs that address global challenges. It provides an opportunity to strengthen academic relations, implement joint programs, and exchange knowledge and expertise between Bridgewater and CCQ. This will contribute to the academic and research development of students and faculty alike.
