Doha, September 17 /QNA/ – The Contech Expo 2024, held at the Qatar National Convention Centre, continues its second day of activities with notable attendance from thousands of visitors, specialists, and hundreds of local and international participants. They are exploring exceptional opportunities in the latest technological innovations and trends that are expected to bring significant advancements to the construction and services sectors.
The agenda for the second day at the Ideas Showcase platform featured discussions by a diverse selection of leading companies, including SIKA, GORD, HBKU, ABB, Ksunry Solution, and Snoonu. These discussions covered topics such as enhancing cybersecurity in smart buildings, building automation systems, virtually managed services for cost optimization, sustainability, and an introduction to the future of additive manufacturing for on-demand delivery.
The discussions also included managing buildings and performance through digital twins, opportunities for materials informatics, advanced solar technologies, sustainability through motor-driven systems, and enhancing sustainability via field device digitization. Among the key events on the second day was the signing of eight agreements, including four between "Ashghal" and companies such as Honeywell and Schneider Electric.
Panel discussions were also held on the future of construction using 3D printing: "Discover how 3D printing is revolutionizing the construction sector through expert insights and live demonstrations." Another session focused on the AI revolution in the construction sector: "Learn about sustainable and efficient construction practices enhanced by AI, presented by industry leaders."
Live drone demonstrations were also part of the day's activities: Experience the latest drone technologies with live flights presented by "Gulf West Petroleum," showcasing the enhanced and developed capabilities for project management and sustainability within the company.
The second day of the expo welcomed 24 schools from across the country, where over 550 students from middle and high schools explored the latest technologies, such as 3D printing, robotics, AI applications, and live drone demonstrations.
