Expo 2023 Doha: Volunteers Make Tireless Efforts to Provide Exceptional Visitor Experience

Doha, October 05 (QNA) - Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha volunteers said they were leaving no stone unturned to produce an exceptional visitor experience in the first-ever horticultural event in the region. 

Over 2500 volunteers in the Expo's three main areas (the cultural area, the family area, and the international area) work to facilitate visitors’ arrival to their destination, organize their entry and exit, and provide services to all segments of society, especially the elderly and people with disabilities. 

A number of them highlighted, in interviews with Qatar News Agency (QNA), their keenness to create an Expo exceptional experience for visitors by providing all the required instructions and guidance.

Hailing their volunteering experience in the ongoing global event, they said it would earn them many skills that qualify them to deal with different work environments and perform their tasks proficiently, as individuals or a teamwork.

They also extolled their volunteering experience as a great way to consolidate the concept of community service through supporting participants and influencers from worldwide.

Before the Expo inauguration on Oct. 2, the selected volunteers involved in an array of training courses, programs and interactive workshops to develop their capacities.

By the end of the Expo's six-month period, each volunteer will have completed 45 shifts of 6-8 hours, depending on their role. (QNA)
