ConteQ Expo24 aims to create a pivotal platform that champions digitalization, emerging innovation in the construction, manufacturing and retail industries. It will enable local companies and international organizations operating in Qatar to explore a world of innovation and software that will enhance their projects, planning and project implementation teams, helping them to abide by Ashghals new guidelines and requirements that will be issued by the Public Works Authority for implementing upcoming projects, which aims to improve the quality of deliverables through accurate compliance with requirement specifications; reduce the delivery time of construction and service projects; and reduce the dependency on unskilled labor.

The exhibition reflects the commitment of Ashghal, the MoCI and the MoL to enhance cooperation and joint work and to benefit from the fields of modern and digital technology in the endeavor to develop the construction and service sectors while working to reduce dependence on unskilled labor.

HE Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labor Mohammed Hassan Al Obaidly said that ConteQ Expo24 represents a pivotal stride towards realizing the objectives and policies pursued by Qatar.
"It not only facilitates the actual digital transformation within crucial sectors such as construction and services but also attracts specialized and skilled workers while curbing the reliance on unskilled labor. This endeavor bears significant positive implications as it enhances productivity and facilitates the execution of major projects in the country's construction and services sectors, adhering to the requisite standards. Moreover, it enables us to remain abreast of advanced digital solutions, emerging requirements, and evolving trends. This, in turn, fosters initiatives and ongoing endeavors in the realm of digital transformation within the construction and services fields," Al Obaidly said.

He stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Labor to unite efforts with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Public Works Authority and other concerned authorities in the country, to achieve these goals and aspirations by working to attract and classify expatriate workers and launch initiatives that provide classification methods for workers, their skill level and the need of the local market for them, such as the launch of the Qatari guide to classify professions, a labor rotation program, a program specialized in talent visas, and the provision of different types of work permits based on the skill levels of workers. He indicated that the labor market currently requires more specialized cadres than it was in the past, therefore it is necessary to find clear foundations and frameworks for identifying and classifying professions in the private sector.

HE President of Public Works Authority Dr. engineer Saad bin Ahmad Al Muhannadi said Ashghal is dedicated to embracing groundbreaking technologies that revolutionize the execution of construction projects, and emphasize on minimizing dependence on unskilled labor while introducing innovative solutions that amplify efficiency and elevate quality.

Speaking at the press conference, Al Muhannadi noted that ConteQExpo24 provides a promising opportunity to explore cutting-edge advancements in technology and uncover fresh approaches for enhancing operations and project implementation.

Projects Affairs director engineer Yousef Al Emadi told the press conference that Ashghal, while hosting the exhibition, will establish a foundation for initiating the journey of digital and technical transformation, particularly in the vital construction and services sector.

"We are currently witnessing an impressive surge of progress and digitalization across all industries. To keep up with this rapid advancement, it is crucial to swiftly act and provide a platform for innovators, enthusiasts, and technical experts to convene with decision-makers and creators," he said.

Head of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Jassim Mohammed Al Naama said that ConteQ Expo24 embodies the Ministry’s commitment to advancing technology in the construction and services industry.

He noted that the exhibition will showcase advanced technologies and innovative solutions in the services sector, and provide a platform for companies, industry experts and innovators to meet with their counterparts and explore opportunities for cooperation and growth. The event will showcase new technologies that will automate many processes and thus simplify them and enhance efficiency in these areas.

Manager of the exhibition's organizing committee engineer Salem Al Shawi said that ConteQ Expo24 will bring the world’s thought leaders and respected industry peers together with Qatar’s construction, manufacturing, and retail industry figures to digitize and advance the construction, manufacturing, and retail industries.

Digital transformation and its evolution are imperative to business and economic advancement. It enables collaboration, information flow, increased efficiency, productivity, sustainability, and safety. Showcasing the latest cutting-edge digital solutions, ConteQ Expo24 will be an exceptional event for companies striving for growth and advancement, he noted.

The ConteQ Expo24 exhibition will provide wide areas for exploring the many aspects of the use of innovations and modern technology in the field of construction and services, to create sustainable assets for the future in conjunction with the offering, discussion, case studies and best practices from all over the world. Visitors will also have the opportunity to watch live demonstrations of innovative construction technologies such as drones that enable accurate, real-time data capture, five-dimensional building information modeling, extract or develop integrated parametric building components within a virtual model, artificial intelligence, and many others.
