The festival is part of the activities accompanying the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and will continue until the eighteenth of next December, with the participation of the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the Iraqi Republic, the Republic of Yemen, the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of India, the Republic of Tanzania United.

The twelfth edition of the Katara Traditional Bearing Festival is characterized by a rich program of cultural activities and events that keep pace with the international sporting event witnessed by Qatar. In the same context, the organizing committee of the Katara Traditional Bearing Festival indicated that the twelfth edition will be launched daily at 2:30 pm from Katara 32 Beach, a heritage bearing raising the flags of the countries participating in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, where the dhows will sail through the Doha Corniche and Mathaf Park Beach.
