Her Excellency Mrs. Lulwa bint Rashid Al Khater, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Her Excellency Mrs. Rabab Fatima, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the United Nations, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.
During the meeting, the Assistant Foreign Minister stressed the importance of joint cooperation in women's issues and education, noting Qatar's leading role in contributing to the fields of education and enhancing the role of women.
The Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations expressed thanks and gratitude to the State of Qatar for its anticipated hosting of the second part of the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries from March 5 to 9, 2023. She also stressed the United Nations' aspiration for the effective participation of the private sector in the development agenda.
