New York, September 21 (QNA) The Qatar Fund for Development signed a cooperation document with the Global Partnership for Education, during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, in support of the partnership agreement between the Education Above All Foundation and the Global Partnership for Education, signed on the sidelines of Doha Forum on March 27, 2022.
A statement by the Qatar Fund for Development indicated that the documents were exchanged at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in New York City.
This contribution aims to ensure the achievement of the objectives of the Qatar Fund for Development in accelerating progress towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 4 - “to ensure quality, equitable and inclusive education and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”
The Qatar Fund for Development contributes $20 million to the education sectors in priority countries, as this contribution is directed through the strategic partner Education Above All, to achieve inclusive education for all.
It is noteworthy that the funding grants and strategic partnerships serve as a bridge to reach the goals and mission of the Fund, to contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals, and to consolidate the State of Qatar's readiness and commitment to providing sustainable and available resources to needy communities around the world.
