New York, September 20 (QNA) HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended today the reception held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on the occasion of the announcement of the partnership with Qatar Museums.

His Highness the Emir toured the museum, during which he was briefed on the Hall of the Islamic World, which he called "Qatar Hall" and its archaeological and historical holdings, Islamic manuscripts and artworks. During the tour, His Highness listened to the fruitful cooperation that this partnership will produce between Qatar Museums and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

After that, His Highness the Emir of the country attended the dinner banquet held on this occasion.

 

The ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums Board of Trustees, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the accompanying official delegation, senior officials and guests of the ceremony.
