The Council of Ministers welcome the results of important talks for His Highness in Washington

His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired the regular meeting held by the Council this afternoon at its headquarters in the Amiri Diwan. Following the meeting, H.E. Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Sulaiti, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, stated:

At the beginning of the meeting, the Council of Ministers welcomed the results of the important and fruitful talks held by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the country, "May God protect him", last Monday in Washington with His Excellency President Joe Biden, President of the Friendly United States of America, which focused on developing and strengthening the long-established strategic cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields, as well as the most prominent regional and international developments and joint work to achieve peace in the region.

The Council paid tribute to His Excellency the President of the United States for Qatar's outstanding and positive role in the region, and directed His Majesty to inform the U.S. Congress of Qatar's designation of Qatar as a key non-NATO ally of the United States, reflecting the importance of Qatari-U.S. relations.
