Her Excellency Mrs. Lolwa bint Rashid Al Khater, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met today with a delegation of members of Congress in the friendly United States of America, in the presence of Her Excellency Ms. Natalie Baker, Chargé d'Affairs of the United States Embassy in the country.

The meeting reviewed the relations of cooperation between the two countries, and the latest developments in the Afghan file.

The meeting dealt with the efforts of the State of Qatar in Afghanistan and the assistance it provides to the Afghan people in cooperation with relief and humanitarian organizations, in addition to emphasizing the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the Afghan file.

The US congressional delegation thanked the State of Qatar for its efforts and contributions to the evacuation and safe passage of Americans and holders of US residency from Afghanistan.
