His Highness the Amir: I reviewed Qatar's ambitious plans and are committed to supporting the transition to low-carbon energy before the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said, on his official account on Twitter, that his speech today at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum Summit reviewed Qatar's ambitious plans in the gas sector and its commitment to support the transition to low carbon energy in the production chain.

"In the last three days, we hosted the sixth summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Doha. In my speech today at the summit, I reviewed Qatar's ambitious plans in the gas sector and its commitment to support the transition to low carbon energy by investing in removing more carbon from the production chain."

His Highness the Emir had indicated on many occasions Qatar's affirmation of its commitment to support the transition to low carbon energy by working to remove more carbon from the gas production chain.

In his speech during the summit, His Highness announced the operation of the largest facility ever in the Middle East for carbon sequestration and sequestration with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually for several years, and this capacity will reach about 9 million tons by the year 2030.
